Nikka Days Japanese Whisky

Nikka Days is a charming, easy-drinking Japanese blended whisky—silky smooth, subtly fruity, and meant to brighten everyday moments. Its soft citrus and orchard fruit flavors make it perfect neat or in a classic highball (try 1 part whisky to at least 4 parts soda water with ice). While not complex, it succeeds at being inviting, refreshing, and eminently drinkable.

🧪 Origins & Concept

• Launched in 2018 by Nikka Whisky, blending malt and grain whiskies from its Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries—including Coffey grain and malt components. Designed as a vibrant, approachable, everyday Japanese whisky. 

• Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) with chill-filtration and coloring; often enjoyed as a refreshing highball companion.

👃 Nose (Aroma)

• The aroma is light and inviting: pear drops, honeydew melon, strawberry, apple, and a touch of citrus oil.

• Subtle floral notes with malt sweetness and delicate hints of rice and brine; a trace of barrel char adds complexity.

👅 Palate & Texture

• Smooth and silky on the palate with floral sweetness, apple, pear, and cereal malt.

• Gentle flavors of toffee, roasted nuts, and vanilla emerge, with faint finish of corn syrup sweetness and very light pepper or spice.

• The finish is short to medium, softly dried with notes of buttery shortbread, lemon zest, and light cereal grain. Minimal warming spice or linger—clean and refreshing.
